I received my first rejection today and to my first choice. It had been a shoot-for-the-moon dream but it still stings. I haven't heard anything positive yet. I'm trying very hard not to be pessimistic.
Thinking positive thoughts for you. The rejections always suck, but they're sadly part of the process. When I was applying to residency spots, I didn't even get an interview at the university where I'd done my graduate degree and where I'd worked with a significant number of the medical staff. That one stung! Fortunately, we only need one yes.
Thanks. At this point, I'm just hoping for any maybes and trying not to let this process completely consume my thoughts and life. I figure,IF I start med school next year, my life will be consumed soon enough.
